Lindsay Gatz Owner + Stager
SHE/HER
Lindsay is a serial creative entrepreneur who loves all things design - both visual and tangible. Starting this business has allowed her to marry her love of style, communication and biznass!
Lindsay found herself rearranging her bedroom weekly starting at age 13. Unaware that there might be a career field in her future in which she might find this skill useful, she followed her design path into fashion, graphic design, and merchandising. After collecting numerous design degrees, she became a sought-after visual designer focusing on branding and package design.
Years later, dreaming about a life less sedate, she began researching the world of real estate staging. Excited to start using her room styling skills, in 2017 she pooled her resources in the Seattle real estate arena and created von Rocko Home, an offshoot of her design studio von Rocko Design. Starting with her personal collection stored in her home garage, she quickly grew into a warehouse in South Seattle.
Stephanie Hollister Operations Manager
SHE/HER
Stephanie has been in an intimate relationship with von Rocko home since 2018. She knows our insides and outs, and holds the secrets of the crypt. Without her, out warehouse would induce regular fits of rage. She keeps the clutter organized, the landfills minimal, and the chaos at bay.
You’ll likely run into her when we need preview access to stages, physically staging listings, or boxing up when our listings sell. If you can’t get ahold of Lindsay, Stephanie is your #1 contact for all operations needs.
When she’s not wrangling our mess, she is working in Aroma Point Therapy, which refers to a technique that combines the healing potency of essential oils with specific acupoints to catalyze profound shifts in the body, mind and spirit.
(See how this might help us stay grounded in our everyday?)
Denise Reed Lead Stager
SHE/HER
Denise is the life blood than energizes the von Rocko Home team when our batteries are low. She is a master communicator, both within the company and when comforting home sellers. The energy and creativity Denise brings to the team is invaluable times infinity.
Denise moved to Seattle in 1997 to pursue a degree in Fine Art/Illustration at Cornish College of the Arts and then later obtained a degree in Commercial Photography from Seattle Central. During this time, and for years after, she was driven to backpack around the world like all rebellious GenX’ers. Armed with a camera and sketchbook, she was consumed with absorbing ancient and modern art, textiles, fashion, and architecture. She still relies on these passions to define who she is — and has since added one husband, 200 rescue dogs, and a constant flow of design evolution throughout her home. Home staging has connected her love of design and art with the love she has for the bones of a home.
(This is her dream job to say the least.)
Chris Johnson Lead Stager
HE/HIM
Chris is our newest homie joining the crew, with a background in interiors and florals. Style is his game, whether staging or dressing for a meeting. He is punctual, detail oriented, and always a pleasure to have around.
Like Lindsay, Chris was CONSTANLY rearranging his bedroom as a young creative growing up. Being a native of Miami, he also had a fascination with flowers and foliage from an early age due to living in the beauty of the tropics. Orchids growing naturally on trees, Blue Macaws flying overhead and nesting in Royal Palms, Banyan and Poinciana trees- all contributing to his love of the natural environment.
After university in Atlanta in the 90's and a brief return to Miami, Chris moved to Seattle in 2005 with a BFA in Interior Design and Art History and has been managing and supporting projects in the Seattle area since. His knowledge and expertise pull from past residential and commercial projects in interior design and decoration, landscape design, upscale event and retail floral design, and seasonal temporary display work. With a genuine passion for creating space- whether it be indoors or out, Chris is your guy.
