Lead Designer/Stager

Position Summary 

As a Lead Designer/Stager at von Rocko Home, you will play a pivotal role in preparing homes for sale, ensuring they appeal to potential buyers and maximize their market value. You will work closely with clients, real estate agents, and other team members to design and implement staging plans that enhance the aesthetic appeal of properties. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. Additionally, you will contribute to business development and manage client expectations to ensure a seamless and positive experience.  

Core Operations

Home Staging Design & Execution:

• Evaluate homes to determine necessary improvements and staging needs.

• Create and execute staging plans that highlight the property’s strengths and align with target buyer demographics.

• Select and arrange furniture, decor, and accessories to enhance visual appeal.

• Coordinate with movers to determine am start times.

• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for any required repairs or updates.

• Maintain and transport inventory of furniture and staging materials.

Client Collaboration:

• Consult with homeowners and real estate agents to understand goals and expectations.

• Provide expert advice on decluttering, cleaning, and depersonalizing spaces.

• Deliver professional presentations of staging plans as needed to gain client buy-in.

Quality Control:

• Ensure properties are staged to von Rocko Home’s high standards of excellence.

• Take and archive photos of staged listings to mitigate inventory shrinkage.

• Conduct final walkthroughs to verify readiness before listing or showing.

Business Development

• Train new hires - both assistants and lead stagers - in all aspects of the job. Assistant Stager job description is provided.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, brokers, and other industry professionals to generate referrals.

• Identify and pursue new opportunities for staging services, including networking events, trade shows, and local community outreach.

• Stay updated on market trends, buyer preferences, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.

Non-standard Duties

• Address last-minute changes to client needs or unexpected challenges with professionalism and efficiency.

• Manage tight deadlines and scheduling conflicts while ensuring client satisfaction.

• Troubleshoot issues with staging inventory, such as damaged or missing items, and provide timely resolutions.

• Communicate proactively with clients and agents to set realistic expectations and deliver updates as needed.

Requirements + Experience

• 2+ years Interior Decor or Staging Experience

• RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION. You will be needed at the Tukwila warehouse, and will be driving our company vehicle to different locations on a semi-daily basis. You must have proof of insurance and a valid driver's license.

• ABLE TO LIFT AND CARRY 25 lbs. up and down stairs on your own if needed and. The furniture movers carry the furniture and all heavy items, but you will be expected to carry small furniture items as well as bins with décor and lamps. This job requires being on your feet and moving around for most of the work day.

• FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE. This position requires 35-40 hours per week - balanced with warehouse and on-site property work. Must be able to work a variety of shifts and sometimes long hours.

• ABLE TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS AND WORK AS PART OF A TEAM. 

• AVAILABLE EARLY MORNING Assistant hours generally start at 8am, and last up to 8 hours.
